Michella Chester is an ESPN college football and volleyball sideline reporter. She is currently working alongside play-by-play voice Taylor Zarzour and analyst Matt Stinchcomb on SEC Network football games and has been one of ESPN’s college volleyball sideline reporters since 2024.
In addition to her reporter role at ESPN, Michella serves as NCAA Digital’s lead reporter and host for volleyball, softball and baseball and serves as the NCAA’s on-camera talent at the MCWS and WCWS. She is the Big Ten Network college Baseball and Softball digital host. And, she does sideline coverage for Big Ten Network as well. She formally worked for WBD Sports at NCAA.com, and hosted March Madness related shows across NCAA Digital platforms and Bleacher Report.
Michella graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism, a minor in Sport Management and a Sports Media Certificate. At UGA, she worked At IMG Media and was the captain of the UGA women’s lacrosse team. She was also a reporter for Grady Newsource and Grady Sportsource and a member of the Honors College.
Michella interned at Fox Sports South in the Digital Media department. She worked as an on-camera personality for short form creative content created in studios, controlled FSS social media accounts and helped with video production for digital platforms.
Michella grew up in a family with three girls, but her dad is probably the biggest sports fan there is. After spending years watching football on Sundays with him, she became enamored with the world of sports media, and hopes to continue to grow in the field of sports broadcasting and reporting.
